The financial cost of implementing this calendar would be staggering, even in 1930 dollars. Virtually every business statistical table, interest table, actuarial calculation, and accounting procedure would have been altered. Many business leaders rejected the IFC solely on the basis of the cost of recalculating interest tables. All prior business records would have to be converted to IFC format in order to make the statistical comparisons which were a major justification for the IFC.
