Hi, i have a question about adding and subtracting a Floating point value (non-Integral)
consider those two binary bit's:
1.0100110 x2 (exponent3)
1.1001011 x2 (exponent2)

this is cannot be add due to the unequal of exponents,But they must be equal in ordar to adding them,So? how to make the exponents equal ? by shifting the significand of the number with the smaller exponent.
what this meaning ? significand ?
then shift it to left or to right ?
i use SHL in this case two cause the smaller exponent is 2
either SHR doesn't give me the right result which is
0.1100110
so how we got the result ?
