If you have a time, can you please take a look on this database.
My org. asked me to design database-handling employee's attendance using machine porters including many of functions and reports
- Employee is entry to his work by magnetic card on machine porter. Each employee has specific card id.
- Employee has permission for use some of machine porters not for all machines.
- Many towers in my org. each of them has variety of floors, rooms
- Each room has many network ports & telephone ports and employers
- each employer has one network port & telephone port but just one or two telephone ports is working in one room.
- Each employer has one job name
- Many departments divided as the following:
Head Sectors divided into -->
Central managements divided into -->
General managements divided into -->
Sub managements divided into -->
Sections
Well, I tried to divide database into basic units and unit components :
- Basic units: - location unit, department unit and job unit
- Component: - network port, telephone port and employee
i designed database as you can see but I feel that is not good thing.
Specially I want to build relationship between department unit and location unit.
also I'm confusing how data can be enter into database by machine.
And how transaction of machine porter can be done correctly.
because this is the first time to design database take it's data from machine.
What are your suggestions?
