أرجو مساعدتي في حل هذا السؤال بشرح الطريقة للحل..لأن النواتج عندي
find conditions on a and b such that the system of limear equations has
(a) no solution
(B) exactly one solution
© an infinite number of solutions
x+2y=3
ax+by=-9

no solution means impossible to have a common point
they are two linear equations so ...
if you get a and b such that the second equation be a line that doesn't intersect with the first equation you can solve this ...
b )
exactly one solution means exactly one only intersection point ... any line that has one intersection point with the first equation will give the solution because if there is an intersection it will be unique.
between 2 lines i mean of course
c )
infinte number of solutions and two equations guess what we need ?
we need to have more than one intersection
an this is impossible for two straight lines unless they are the same line ...
how to solve this ?
