The faculty, staff, and students at our college regularly meet to discuss and make decisions on different issues through out the year. However, it becomes hard to manage large number of meetings or eliminate meeting schedule conflicts in many cases. Therefore, our college needs an application to help us primarily schedule meetings and secondarily inform everybody of the meeting who should attend. You—as the future IT specialists—are asked to help us in developing the prototypes of this application using the knowledge that you learned during the programming courses.
The application should initially help us to manage the following information pieces regarding a meeting:
· Subject: a short title—similar to subjects in emails—on what the meeting will be about
· Date: On what date and at what time it will be held
· Location: Where it will be held
· Attendees: A list of people who will attend. Each attendee’s name, last name, and e-mail address will be available in the list. These names can be selected from already entered list of people.
· Chair: Who will chair the meeting
· Agenda: A brief description of the issues that will be discussed during a meeting.
The user of the application will be anybody in the administration. The meeting details, which will be covered in terms of the information pieces listed, will be called a new meeting event. A meeting event is scheduled on a certain date and time, and at a place reserved. There must be two or more attendees for a meeting event. In addition, a chair, who can be a faculty or staff, should moderate each meeting event.
The application prototypes should provide the following functions:
· Add a meeting event: the user creates a new meeting event and enters the meeting details as specified above.
· Remove a meeting event: The user selects and removes an existing meeting event from the listed and possibly persistently stored meetings in the application.
· Modify a scheduled meeting event: The user selects an existing meeting event from the list of existing meetings, changes any of the meeting details, and submits changes to be updated.
