Salam,
I have installed openSUSE 11.2 recently and I have few problems:
1. I need to write arabic but I don\t know where is the keyboard layout indicator
2. I have internet access via proxy (I know only the IP address and the port)
When I have tried this: YAST>Network services>proxy
it does not accept the ip address
Where can I put the global proxy setting

حيا الله الرياضيات ، على فكرة أنا من عاشقي الرياضايات ومن المؤمنين بأنها ملكة العلوم الحياتية.
المهم نرجع إلى المشاكل التي واجهتك:
1- أنا حاليا لا أعمل على opensuse ، فلن أستطيع أن أقول لك الخطوات بدقة ، لأنها الأماكن تختلف من توزيعة لأخرى ، ولكن ابحث في القوائم التي عندك ستجد keyboard ، غالبا ستجدها في hardware ، داخل برنامج keyboard اذهب إلى layouts tab ، وقم بإضافة اللغة العربية، وستجد layout options من خلالها تستطيع أن تختار keys التي ستستخدمها للتنقل بين اللغات.
2-في حالتك هذه ليس لك علاقة ب proxy service ، ولكن كل تعاملك سيتم على متصفح الإنترنت ، لو كنت تستخدم firefox ، اذهب إلى edit->preference->advanced->network->settings ، ثم اختار manual proxy configuration .

بخصوص المشكلة، حملت ال Virtualbox ويمكنني الكتابة بالعربي الان مؤقتا من الوندوز عن طريقه.
للاسف المشكلة للينكس مازالت قائمة.
1. بحثت عن الكيبورد ولم اجده (استخدم KDE)
2. الانترنت يعمل في الفيربوكس بعد ان ادخلت البروكسي ولكن التحديثات وتحميل البرامج عن طريق Yast وكل شيء اخر لا تعمل.
تم حل مشكلة الانترنت عن طريق عمل التالي :
ذهبت الى المجلد التالي
etc/sysconfig
عدلت داخل الملف التالي :proxy
اضفت البروكسيات (بالخط الاسود العريض).

أسف أخى Apex المسميات بها أخطاء
الترتيب الصحيح هو :
1- من القائمه الرئيسية قم بإختيار التبويب Appliactions
2- فى أسفل التبويب قم بإختيار العنصر Configure Desktop
3- سيتم فتح لك نافذه Personal Setings
4- منها قم بإختيار Regional & Language
5- ثم من القائمه اليسرى قم بإختيار keybord Layout
6- من اليمين قم بإختيار الـ option المسمى Enable keyboard layouts
7- قم بتحديد اللغه العربيه و إضافتها إلى اليمين و ذلك فى النصف الأيمن السفلى
8- ثم من التبويب Switching options قم بالنقر على زر Main shortcuts فى يمين النافذه
9- سيظهر لك مربع به قائمه بالإختصارات فمنها فى الأسفل قليلاً قم بتحديد Alt+ shift
