3. Application Requirements
3.1 Data:
Patient data: Information about each Patient including id, name, address, telephone No, age. In
addition to patient medical condition including diseases, symptoms, treatments, Examination
Date, and payments.
Doctors Data: Name, Username, and Password.
Disease data: Name, type, symptoms, treatments.
Symptom data: which include a description of the symptom. A disease may have more
symptoms, it addition some diseases’ symptoms may overlap.
Treatment data: includes description, medicine name, douse, frequency, etc.
Other data: Any other data necessary to support tasks described in next section.
3.2 Tasks (Transactions):
Registration: Patient registers with system.
Update customer: Patient’s information can be modified in case of change of address, telephone
No etc.
Drop Patient: Delete information if Patient does not want his or her information recorded in the
system. This is only allowed if a customer has no pending charges.
New Disease: Records information pertaining to new Disease added to the system
Drop Disease: Disease is deleted
Disease query: Query for disease information by name, symptoms, and treatment.
Patient query: Query for Patient by name, Disease, address.
Patient Examination: The Doctor Examines the Patient and depending on the symptoms
decides what is the disease and treatment.
Make reservation: A Patient makes an appointment. For each appointment, the Patient should
be able to specify time as available. Patients should be able to view lists of available time slots to
make an appointment. The Patient should be provided with a confirmation number after the
appointment has been made.
Update/cancel appointment: A Patient can update/cancel appointments.
