limit selected rows

إذا كنت مستخدم ترقيم للصفوف (ID) فبهذه الطريقة

select *

from tablename

where id<=10;

thank you brother mobarak for help,,,,but if u know sql server you will find command(limit)like

select * from emp

limit 10;

he will fetch only 10 rows every time..so how i can do this in sql*plus

if you want to retrieve only 10rows in each statement, you have to use rownum

select col1,col2

from table1

;where rownum <11
