i wanna connect distributed microcontrollers,the max distance between them is about 10 meteres, such that they are able to send messages to each other.
may i use the serial port or use a wirless communication

one advantage is that ,most microcontrollers have Serial i/o pins ...
you can do wireless interface between 'em too , but you need more circuitry ...
make sure of the length of the wires , cuz it may affect badely when transmitting signals .... note that ( two wires sperated by a distance may act as a capacitor ) ..
