you can download only on cd if you don't need all the program which come with linux,as you like,if you need some program you may need 2 cd or 3,you are not forced to download all of them.

and i not talk about linux i talk about unix go to www.freebsd.org and see version or go to www.linuxiso.org to know wt i talk abou this version

and about 4 cds or five cds when u go to site u find to download 4 cds 1 boot and 3 other manual to unix i hear i cam use one from 3 i donot know that words right
