Database course asks you to design and get specifications of a system, design and implement it.
Assignment #3 objective: Design a Graphical User Interface for your project in the database course.
Material to submit for this assignment:
1) Application Requirement:
a. Complete description of the problem to be solved
b. List reports and queries that represent the project output
c. List database tables that represent the project data
d. UML diagram for classes needed in the project
2) Construction of the project application
a. Describe the basic operation of the project in a pseudocode
b. Display an Action/Control/Event ACE table of the application
3) Design a GUI that have the following characteristics:
a. Follow GUI design guidelines described in your textbook Appendix C – page 860
b. Select appropriate controls that offer a friendly interaction for the project user. Check Appendix D
c. Learn how to use controls that have not been covered in the classroom to enhance your ability of searching .net FCL. Show the source of the material (either .net help, MSN developer network,etc.)
The assignment will be checked with the following criteria:
1) User has full control over the use of the program
2) Best use of .net C# controls to serve the purpose of the project, either in data entry or output display.
3) Following best practice of designing a GUI.
4) Error trapping of data entry is available and efficient. Add required code for that in your submission material.
