Unlike traditional debugging tools, SoftICE provides the system-wide control and visibility developers need to fix tough software system-level problems. SoftICE helps application developers debug heavily multi-threaded applications, large multi-process applications and NT services, detect extremely severe bugs such as Ring 0 errors, as well as reverse engineer complex code. Since SoftICE doesn’t utilize system resources, it can debug through the most difficult problems, including blue screens.
SoftICE 4.2.6 supports Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95/98. The product also supports both application and device driver debugging on either a single or dual machine configurations as well as remotely with a TCP/IP connection.
