how can change proection level

i am using a code that handle the serial ports

but when i run that code

using System.IO.Ports;
SerialStream ss = new SerialStream();

i get tha eroor

Error 1 'System.IO.Ports.SerialStream' is inaccessible due to its protection level

how to solve it
