There are several ways to make back up in ORACLE

in distrebuted database enviroment you need to know how to deal with RMAN (RECOVERY MANAGER) to use this applecation which it comes with oracle database you need tow diffrent database onet called category database which youcan use it to back up the the database where you store all tables....this is the best way of backing up all databases in distributed enviroment. should you have any question please let me know I will help you in this matter.

thanx for reply but i think u didnt understand my qausetion the answer u have issue about RMAN its use for any data base recovering but the company asked my about distibuted database i told them about RMAN but they told their question about ditributed databsae recovering methology so i confused about it then i issued my quasetion

RMAN its must or best for recover but i think they mean about startegy of recover for distributed database so if any one can explain me the startagy for distirbuted database
